A New Venture in Keswick, ON

Keswick Chinese Alliance New Venture began as a Discerning Community, born out of Newmarket Chinese Alliance Church (NCAC), that aimed to provide a Chinese church community in the Keswick area. In their first year of meeting, the group has already witnessed many people being baptized, newcomers joining through word of mouth, and they have embraced community engagement opportunities, like distributing garden plants and vegetables to Keswick residents. They hope to continue joining Jesus at work in Keswick, as they are now a New Venture.

As a New Venture, Keswick Chinese will continue to grow and establish a Mandarin Speaking Christian presence within the area, supported by NCAC at first, before moving towards a more structured community in the future. Pastor Baojun Yung, employed at NCAC, will begin to establish Keswick Chinese within the community, while the team looks to hire a dedicated pastor for this New Venture.

This initiative is supported by Newmarket Chinese Alliance Church, the Canadian Chinese Alliance Churches Association (CCACA), Valley View Alliance Church and the Eastern Canadian District.
