An Emerging Community in Kitchener-Waterloo

Last year, Kitchener-Waterloo Chinese Alliance Church  began to plan a Mandarin-speaking New Venture to reach the many new Chinese international students and young families in the area.

On May 6, they had a celebration service celebrating the new planting team and the team leader, Pastor Paul Yang, who has joined them from the US for this work.

The celebration service honoured the shared efforts of the English congregations, the Mandarin congregations and Hazel Glen in supporting this new Mandarin work in Kitchener-Waterloo.

The team was encouraged to work together in the future for a new church, like water flowing together to serve this dry land.

To celebrate the new beginning, baptisms were held on this same Sunday as the new church launched, and a blessing was prayed in three languages for this new Mandarin venture.

Please continue to pray for this New Venture.
