LifeHouse Community Church is building community in COVID-19
‘The City’ campus ministry on Thursday nights
LifeHouse Community Church, planted in January 2017 and located in Fort Erie Ontario, is lead by Todd and Julie MacGregor. By God’s abundant and amazing grace, they feel so privileged to continue to see their church family grow over the past year, DOUBLING IN SIZE! not only have their ministries grown well, but they have seen their leadership grow too.
Currently, two men’s groups and one ladies ministry meets, as well as a couples small group. LifeHouse also runs a ministry on the campus of Niagara Christian Collegiate (NCC) called “The City” which has seen a weekly attendance of around 75 students. Since NCC is an international school, LifeHouse leaders have had the privilege of getting to know and working with students from all over the world on a weekly basis.
Since the social-distancing regulations of COVID hit, Todd shares that,
“ Like other churches, all of that has been put on hold due to the pandemic. We are doing our best to be innovative during this time but realizing our limitations and knowing that face-to-face connection cannot be replaced. So as a church, LifeHouse is “busying” itself in simple connection through phone calls, emails, text messages, and Zoom call prayer meetings. We pre-record an online church service that is sent out on Sunday mornings. We are working on an online course for learning to study God’s word. Hoping to have that ready in the next week and it’s something that we can do as a church; online in a Zoom context.”

Please keep praying for LifeHouse. These times are challenging for everyone. Todd and Julie are constantly praying that they would use this time wisely and not “overthink” or “over-innovate” but rather be simple, be encouraging, be growing in their relationship with Jesus and each other. They would invite you to pray the same with them!
